The benefits of a criminal defense lawyer

dgfcxfgcfgcfgcfgg

Being in a situation that you have to answer to criminal charges can be a distressing experience, be it you are guilty or not. You should be aware that you have a right to defend yourself as it is a universal right. Some argue that you can take up and fight the case on your own but to navigate through the legal system as an individual can be challenging as the legal process is complicated. Unless you have some legal knowledge on how to navigate through the legal obstacles and risks, then it could be highly advisable that you hire the services of a criminal lawyer. There is no reason whatsoever to face this challenges alone, the trials, pleadings and the paperwork that is needed, requires that you have someone experienced by your side as it will be extremely helpful. Let us look at some of the benefits that one can get from hiring a criminal defense lawyer.

They have the knowledge to legally represent

 the accused

cgfcfgcgfcgfcgfcgfOver the years, criminal lawyers have studied and mastered every aspect of the entire criminal law process and how to navigate through the court procedures. When you have them on your side, they will solemnly focus and help you in building a strong case on your behalf. They are properly equipped and trained on how to examine all the facts of your case hence will provide the much required legal representation. With that kind of knowledge and experience, you will be rest assured that all your defense and rights are properly catered for.

They know the criminal law system

They always say that when you are on a battlefield, knowing who you are fighting against greatly contributes to one being successful. That is why it will not be advisable for you to defend yourself because you may end up in a tricky situation since you do not have the required knowledge on how to deal with judges, prosecutors and other members in the process. This is where a criminal lawyer is important as they will know how to handle those that work in the criminal law system to your advantage.

Help you design a strong and winning strategy

You will realize that every criminal case will require a different approach in tackling it. When you are working with a criminal defense lawyer, they will take into consideration all the events that are existing and the unique circumstances of your case and hence help you design a winning strategy for your case.

They ensure that you are protected against heavy penalties

In any criminal charge process, the prosecutor always aims at implicating the defendant more in a bid to get you a harsh penalty. That is why a defense lawyer is important as he will help you get a less penalty, no penalty or no sentence in the event that you are not guilty. A good defense lawyer will ensure that you are fully protected from the very brutal lawyers.

Provide constant moral and emotional support

fthcffgcvgfchgghfghWhen you are facing criminal charges, you will have depression, anxiety fear or even shame. That is why it is important that you have a criminal defense lawyer who besides handling your case professionally, will help you cope with all these emotions.

Child Custody

How to find a good custody lawyer

fhcgfrcgfcgfcgcfgcf

If you are out there looking for a child custody lawyer, you are in the selection process. But the greatest challenge is that you do not know how to go about it or how to settle on the best or most appropriate one. If you decide to conduct the search on the internet, you will get a whole lot of them and this will be even more confusing. You may have gotten two or more referrals from a friend but you are not sure of them. You do not know the factors to look out for, the right questions to ask or even how to separate facts from fiction. In this article, we are going to highlight some of the key factors that you should take into consideration to ensure that you settle for the best custody lawyer who will safeguard the best interests of your children. The factors include:

Experience

vtvghvgfcgfcgfcgfcgf

If you want to settle on the best child custody lawyer, then you should ensure that they have some experience in handling similar cases. You should ensure that you get a lawyer who has the appropriate skills as per your current circumstances. Look at factors like the complexity of your case, whether your child has any special needs or whether there are any interstate elements that should be taken into account. Ensure that the individual you settle on as your child custody lawyer should have the ability to handle any situation that will come up.

Specialization

As experience is important, so is specialization. The best child custody lawyer should be specialized in handling child custody matters. You will find that most child custody lawyers practice family law but not all of them. That is why it is advisable that one conducts his/her research properly so that they can make sure that the person that they settle on has the required skills to handle the child custody case.

Knowledge

Child custody laws vary from state to state. That is why it is important that you find or settle for a child custody lawyer who has an in-depth knowledge of the laws that govern child custody proceedings in the area that you live. Always ensure that you hire a lawyer that knows the ins and outs of your local laws as this will ensure an optimal outcome.

Local

Besides the lawyer being properly versed with the local laws, it is advisable that you go for a locally based child custody attorney as they are the best suited for your case. It is very important that you access your lawyer as often as possible, this will ensure that they are there to answer any arising questions and meet any simple logistics that may come up. It is also easy to vet a locally based child custody lawyer.

Communication

A good child custody lawyer should have the ability to communicate with all the people who are involved in the child custody case. They should have the necessary skill to communicate with judges, lawyers or even your spouse.

Finances

tfytfvrgcgfcgfcfgcgSince the services of lawyers are usually expensive, you should take into consideration the financial resources that you can be able to afford. Ensure that the fee of the lawyer is well within your budget and ensure that everything is clear as far as billing for service is concerned.

GUN

Gun Violence Prevention Sabbath Weekend | March 13-16, 2014

What is the 2014 Gun Violence Prevention Sabbath Weekend?
Places of worship across the nation are joining the Washington National Cathedral and Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence, a coalition of 50 national denominations and faith-based organizations, to remember those who have lost their lives to gunfire, pray for those whose lives have been forever changed because of the loss of a loved one, and to continue the discussion on how communities of faith can work together to help reduce gun violence.

The weekend will include events from coast to coast, including a centerpiece kickoff event at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. on the evening of Thursday, March 13.

See a list of some of the participating congregations here.

The 2014 Schedule:
Thursday, March 13: Kickoff National Event at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

Friday, March 14, through Sunday, March 16: Thousands of places of worship participate through prayer, education, acts of kindness and action.

In 2013, we had just three weeks and had hundreds of events. This year, we’re mobilizing early and hope to turn hundreds into thousands — we need your participation!
